Privacy policy

Genee attaches great importance to the protection of your data. This policy describes the data processed by GeoGenee, its purposes and your rights, in accordance with the GDPR.

1. Data controller

2. Data collected

• Account: email, password (hashed), plan, login history.
• Tracking data: websites, tracked questions, competitors, AI analysis results and audits.
• Billing: Stripe customer identifier, subscription status (no card data is stored by Genee).
• Technical: logs, IP address, usage data for security and Service improvement.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Provision of the Service and performance of the contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
• Billing and accounting obligations (legal obligation, art. 6.1.c).
• Improvement, security and fraud prevention (legitimate interest, art. 6.1.f).
• Marketing communications, only with your consent (art. 6.1.a).

4. Processors and recipients

To provide the Service, we rely on the following providers:

• Stripe — payment and billing.
• OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral and other AI providers — querying the engines (tracked questions are sent to them).
• Brevo — sending transactional emails.
• OVH SAS (Roubaix, France) — infrastructure hosting within the EU.

5. Retention period

Account data is kept as long as the account is active, then deleted or anonymised within a reasonable time after closure. Billing data is kept in accordance with legal obligations (10 years).

6. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. To exercise these rights: privacy@genee.tech. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

7. Cookies

GeoGenee uses cookies strictly necessary for operation (authentication) and, where applicable, audience measurement cookies subject to your consent. You can manage your preferences at any time.

8. Security

Hashed passwords, encrypted communications (HTTPS), AI calls performed server-side. Genee does not sell any personal data.
